National Monument at Vítkov
Since year 2000 National Monument on Vitkov, with famous statue of Jan Žižka, is being managed by Historical Museum of Prague National Museum. The monument currently serves as a museum of modern history, with multimedia display. In the underground of the monument can be found exposition called The Laboratory of Power.

Žižkov Army Museum
Museum is dedicated to the history of three waves of resistance movements, taking place in years 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and 1948-1956, history of Czechoslovakian Army in years 1918-1939, or persecution Cs. Army members after the state coup in year 1948.

Žižkov Television Tower
Žižkov TV Tower is not only one of the Prague’s most famous landmarks, but also the tallest building in Prague. A 216 meters tall tower was built between years 1985 and 1992 by design of architects Václav Aulický and Jiří Kozák. Building currently serves as outlook, restaurant and congress center.

Church of Saint Procopius
Church of Saint Procopius, on Sladovskeho square is one the architectural landmarks of Zizkov. Founding stone of the church was laid upon 50th anniversary of rule of Franz Joseph I. For this reason it was called in first few years of existence "The Anniversary Church". The building of the church took five years; it is 51 meters long and can hold almost two thousand people.

Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most prominent Czech sacral buildings of the 20th century. In year 1919 was opened public competition, in which won design made by Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik. Between years 1928 and 1932 was built modern and authentic building, inspired by Old-Czech Christian motives. The consecration of Heart of Jesus should symbolize thanks giving for achieving national independency, and search for protection of Czech land.

Old Jewish Cemetery in Žižkov
Not far from Žižkov TV Tower, in Mahler’s Garden, is located old Jewish Cemetery. The cemetery was founded in year 1680 as a Jewish burial ground for victims of Black Plaque. The burials begun again in the 18th century, during massive plaque outbreak. After Second World War the cemetery was pretty much abandoned, and later became ruined. Many of the gravestones were destroyed. As a result the cemetery was in the early 1960’s, for the most part, removed and later changed to Mahler’s Garden.

Palace Acropolis
Palace Akropolis is a center of independent culture, organizer of theatre acts and concerts. You can visit there music club, Theatre DVA, theatre bar, coffee Akropolis, restaurant Akropolis or foyer serving as a exhibition hall.

Jára Cimrman Theatre
Žižkov theatre of Jára Cimrman is a Prague based theatre. The most known plays from their repertoire are plays by Ladislav Smoljak and Zdeněk Svěrák with the main theme being Czech genius Jára Cimrman. The theatre company is solely male.

Viktoria Žižkov Stadium
Stadium of Football Club Viktoria Žižkov is a home Prague football club FK Viktoria Žižkov. The capacity of the stadium is 5600 seats. In last few years stadium undergone major reconstruction, in which all standing spots were replaced by seats, in order to comply with conditions of the project Stadion 2003. With this step, the stadium lowered its capacity, which even at that time was one of the lowest in the league.

Park on Vítkov Hill
In the times of reign of Charles IV, vineyards started to slowly appear on slopes of Vitkov hill. On 14.07.1420, army led by Jan Žižka won battle with Crusaders there, and from that time the surrounding area is called Žižkov. During centuries the vineyards became devastated as late as in 1890’s was asked František Thomayer to transform the unkempt hill into city garden. However, First World War has interrupted these plans. The major transformation took place during building of the National Monument, which begun in year 1929.
