Frequently asked questions

When is check-in possible?

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., when your room is guaranteed to be ready.

If you arrive earlier, it is possible to check in early, depending on the current occupancy of the hotel.

If available, early check-in is available for a fee.

We now have a modern self-service Hotel Kiosk available for our guests for quick check-in.

When is check-out possible?

Check-out is until 11:00 a.m.

If you need to stay longer, it is possible to arrange a late check-out for a fee, which we also guarantee only subject to room availability.

Is it possible to store luggage before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, the hotel provides free luggage storage.

You can leave your luggage at the reception before arrival and after check-out and enjoy your free time in the city without any worries.

Do you offer airport transfers?

Yes, we offer a private hotel transfer from/to Václav Havel Airport.

The service is available for up to 4 people for a fee.

When ordering by email, please include:

  • flight number,
  • arrival/departure time,
  • number of passengers,
  • any oversized luggage.

We recommend booking your transfer at least 24 hours in advance to ensure driver availability at ariston@hhotels.cz.

What types of rooms do you offer and what amenities do they have?

Hotel Ariston & Ariston Patio offers comfortable rooms suitable for individuals, couples, and families.

Rooms vary in size and amenities.

Standard amenities in all rooms include:

  • free high-speed Wi-Fi,
  • LCD TV with satellite channels,
  • minibar,
  • tea and coffee making facilities,
  • desk,
  • safe,
  • bathroom with shower or bathtub, hairdryer, and toiletries.

All rooms are non-smoking.

Room types:

  • Standard room: comfortable rooms suitable for short and longer stays.
  • Superior room: newly renovated rooms, some with air conditioning, higher comfort.
  • Family rooms: more spacious options for 3-4 people.

Is breakfast included in the price?

Yes, a rich breakfast in the form of a hot and cold buffet is included in the price of accommodation.

Breakfast offers a wide selection of pastries, hot dishes, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit, and sweet pastries.

Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the spacious breakfast room, located in the historic part of the hotel.

Can I order a breakfast package for early departure?

Yes, if you are leaving before breakfast service begins, we will be happy to prepare a breakfast package for you to take with you.

Just ask at the reception desk, preferably the day before.

Is Wi-Fi available in the hotel?

Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all rooms and common areas of the hotel.

Does the hotel have its own restaurant or bar?

The hotel does not have its own restaurant.

However, there are many popular restaurants, cafés, and bars in the vicinity of the hotel. The reception desk will provide you with recommendations based on your preferences, e.g.:

  • modern Czech cuisine,
  • international cuisine,
  • cafés and bistros,
  • vegan and vegetarian establishments.

Do you offer parking?

Yes, the hotel offers parking in the courtyard (Patio).

Capacity is very limited (only a few spaces), so we recommend reserving parking in advance at ariston@hhotels.cz. Parking is subject to a fee.

Maximum entrance width: 208 cm. For safety reasons, parking is not suitable for wider cars, large SUVs, vans, or minivans. Alternatively, you can park in the surrounding blue zones.

How do I get to the hotel by public transport?

The hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from the Viktoria Žižkov and Lipanská stops.

From the airport:

  • Take bus no. 59 to the "Nádraží Veleslavín" stop. Then take metro A to the Můstek stop. Change to tram 5 or 9 to the "Viktoria Žižkov" stop.

From the main train station:

  • Take tram 5, 9, 15, or 26 to the "Viktoria Žižkov" stop.

How far is the hotel from the city center?

The hotel is located in the residential area of Žižkov, but with excellent access to the city center:
  • Wenceslas Square: approx. 7 minutes by tram
  • Republic Square: approx. 7 minutes
  • Old Town Square: 15-20 minutes
  • Prague Castle: 25-30 minutes (without changing trams)

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome for a fee 15€.

Guests are responsible for any damage, so we recommend having valid liability insurance.

Is it allowed to stay in the residence with pet?

Yes, we allow you to stay in the hotel with pets. In order to achieve a high standard of cleaning services, a fee of EUR 15 per night is charged for this service. The client is fully responsible for his/her pet, including any damage, for the duration of his/her stay at the hotel. For travelling with pets, we recommend that you take out additional liability insurance for damages.

Does the hotel have a gym or wellness services?

The hotel does not have fitness or wellness facilities.

However, guests can use the fitness center near the hotel (approx. 150 m), which offers:

  • gym,
  • group lessons,
  • wellness (sauna, massages, whirlpool).

The reception will be happy to provide recommendations and details.

Is a baby cot available?

Yes, we offer a baby cot free of charge upon request.

Can I order special services to my room?

Yes, it is possible to order various additional services, such as:

  • a bottle of sparkling wine or wine,
  • flowers,
  • fruit bowls,

What benefits do I get when booking directly through the hotel website?

What are the cancellation conditions?

Cancellation conditions depend on the selected rate:

Flexible reservation

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival.
  • If you cancel later or do not show up, you will be charged at least the price of the first night.

Non-refundable reservation

  • Discount for advance payment.
  • The amount is charged immediately and cannot be refunded.

The specific conditions are always displayed when booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

The hotel accepts:

  • credit cards (Visa, Mastercard),
  • cash (CZK and EUR).

The hotel is located in the lively district of Prague 3 - Žižkov, which is known for its bohemian atmosphere, historic architecture, and many cultural sites.

Within walking distance, you will find, for example:

  • Žižkov Television Tower - an iconic landmark with a viewing platform, 12 minutes' walk away.
  • National Memorial on Vítkov Hill - a monumental memorial with one of the best views of Prague.
  • Havlíčkovo Square and Park - ideal for a short break.
  • Rajská zahrada - a beautiful terraced park with views of the city.
  • The historic district of Karlín - modern restaurants and cafés, 10–15 minutes on foot.

Where to eat well near the hotel?

Žižkov and nearby Karlín are among the liveliest gastronomic locations in Prague. 

We are happy to recommend places to eat according to your taste - Czech, Italian, vegan, and street food are just a few minutes' walk away.

Where can I find good cafés or places to work on my laptop?

Well-known cafés in the Žižkov and Karlín neighborhoods offer good Wi-Fi, and some even have quiet corners suitable for work.

The reception will be happy to recommend suitable places.

What parks or natural areas are near the hotel?

There are several beautiful parks in the area that are ideal for walks and sports:

  • Riegrovy sady - a park with an iconic view of the Castle, a 20-minute walk/2 tram stops from the hotel.
  • Parukářka - a large park with a beer garden and running trails.
  • Vítkov - a long promenade suitable for running, cycling, and walking.
  • Letenské sady - the largest park in Prague 7, 10 minutes by tram from the hotel.

What can families with children do in the area?

There are many places suitable for families in the area:
  • children's playgrounds in Parukářka, Riegrovy sady, and Vítkov parks,
  • the Prague Railway Model Museum,
  • the Prague Planetarium (within tram distance),
  • Stromovka - a huge park with cycling trails.

Are there any sports or relaxation activities in the area?

Yes, there are many options near the hotel:
  • extensive running trails in Vítkov,
  • fitness centers (the nearest is about 150 m away),
  • a bike path towards Karlín - Centrum - Troja,
  • the Olšanka Sports Center with a swimming pool,
  • massage studios and wellness centers near the hotel.

Where can I go in the evening?

Žižkov is known for its lively nightlife.

In the vicinity, you will find:

  • clubs and bars (Palác Akropolis, Bukowski’s Bar),
  • music venues with live music,
  • theaters (Divadlo Ponec, Palác Akropolis, Divadlo Járy Cimrmana).

In Karlín, you will find more elegant and modern bars and restaurants.

How far is it from the hotel to the historic center of Prague?

Thanks to excellent public transport connections, it is only 5-10 minutes away:
